Founder & Creative Director

portraittara
Tara Illingworth is the founder and creative director at The Brew. She has worked extensively within the political arena and with an award winning PR agency for a number of years. It is her own faith and experience in overcoming adversity, crossing the pond, her heart for people, passion for travel, and keen eye for spotting trends that has brewed her own unique story and a rich and flavour filled life.

Growing up in small town Florida, she moved to the UK in 2012 after marrying her own English prince. Today you could say she’s a blend of good ol’ Americana mixed with a new appreciation of the bigger world + a slight English accent. She will always have an embedded love for all things Deep South including sweet tea, sunshine and college football. You can most likely find her with her go-to brew in hand, a soy iced coffee with extra caramel drizzle, to be exact.

Tara truly believes in the power of a single voice and the impact it can have in inspiring others. Her passion for this site, and all that The Brew stands for, is to create a place for the women of today to empower one another to dream, create, and bring something beautiful to their world.

Fashion & Beauty Contributor

Lucy Mulliner has had an eye for style since, well, forever. Her first taste of the industry was with global publishing house Conde Nast in the fashion cupboard for Tatler magazine where she really caught the fashion bug while working under the likes of Isabella Blow. Since then she’s worked on a number of editorial and advertising jobs including working at Naomi Campbell’s fashion for relief show and Marks and Spencer. Today, she uses her talents to style the shopping pages and produce beautiful photo shoots for one of Britain’s leading glossies. Her go to brew would be the ever-so classic G&T after a long day’s work, as any bonafide English fashionista would. In stylistic terms, few things make her happier than her go-to never-failing eyeliner, a closet full of great jeans and Breton striped tees. That, paired with her perfect eyeliner flick, is enough to inspire any beauty junkie. Lucky for us, she is not only gorg but also has a stunning allure and many tips + tricks up her sleeve that she can’t wait to share.

Residing in a city that has a heartbeat for fashion, and one where an ordinary tube journey can often look like a runaway, can be both hectic and beautiful. In London, Lucy finds her serenity in the simple everyday moments with her fiance, friends, adorable nephews and wedding planning with any spare second.
